Laurie Stone, SLS-St. Petersburg-04 faculty member, is presently at Yaddo, working on My Life as an Animal, a Memoir in Stories. In the past several years, she has also had residencies at the Millay Colony, Saltonstall, Djerassi, Edward Albee, and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She has taught creative writing at Arizona State University and given shorter workshops at City College, Muhlenberg College, and Chapman University. Two of her short stories appear in the current issue of Exquisite Corpse. Her memoir “Toby Dead” appears in the Winter 2010 issue of Open City, and her essay “Seeing Susan Sontag” appears in Stone Canoe # 4. Her memoir stories are included in the recent anthologies:  The Other Woman, The Face in the Mirror, and the forthcoming in April In the Fullness of Time. On March 18, she will be reading in Syracuse at the Delavan Art Gallery with Richard Toon with whom she has collaborated on the book Unmarked Trail: A Romance in Stories and a Guide to Setting up a Writing Partnership.
